Physical condition
The materials are in fair condition.
Photographs have been reinforced in the photograph albums where necessary and acid free tissue has been used between the pages.
Upon receipt of donation, the original scrapbook was in poor condition with many of the pages falling out and numerous articles being taped on top of each other. Archives Staff restored the Scrapbook in December 2015, using acid free archival materials, so that it may be conserved for future use by researchers. Unfortunately, in doing so, original order was not able to be maintained.
Immediate source of acquisition
Due to the efforts of researcher Keith Armstrong, the County of Oxford Archives received the records from Donald Bondy, 1st Hussars Museum, London ON, on approval of the Crouch family in November 2015.
