In 1979 several companies were amalgamated to form William H. Kaufman Inc. William H. Kaufman stepped down as president in 1986, but remained as Board Chairman. He was also actively involved with the YMCA, serving as a board member from 1954 and president from 1978-1981, and helping to fund the A.R. Kaufman YMCA in 1982. In 1996 he activated The William H.
