William Belmont Common, Q.C., LL.D. (1899-1984) was a lawyer and public servant who was Ontario Deputy Attorney General between 1957 and 1964.

Fonds predominantly consists of the personal records of William Belmont Common, Ontario Deputy Attorney General. Fonds includes personal correspondence, speeches and the reminiscences of Allan M. Dymond. As well fonds contains numerous subject files pertaining to the following: the 1923 Osgoode Hall graduating class, the National Exhibition Association, corrupt election practices, and the history of liquor licensing in Ontario.
