        Roy Edison Webster (1911-) was a United Church minister, a missionary to China and a church administrator. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and grew up on Prince Edward Island. He attended Prince of Wales College, Dalhousie University and Pine Hill Divinity Hall. Graduating in 1937, he was appointed to West China, but served at Murray Harbour, P.E.I. until 1938 when he was able to go overseas. He served at Luchow, and Junghsien until 1944 when he returned on furlow and then again from 1947 to 1949. On his return to Canada, Dr. Webster served at Orillia, and Agincourt before becoming associate secretary of the Board of Overseas Mission in 1961. He also served as secretary of the Board of World Mission, and then the Division of World Outreach, retiring in 1976.
