History
Born in German Mills, Markham, Ontario, Laura Weaver has dedicated herself to the preservation of the history of the area. A member of the History of Markham Committee since 1984, Mrs. Weaver contributed to the research and writing of the book Markham remembered: A photographic history of old Markham Township (1988), and is an avid collector of historical material relating to Markham and surrounding areas. She had also worked over the years with her husband Alf to photograph the changing face of Markham.
