Administrative history
The Walther League, Ontario District, was organized in 1911. The purpose of the league in the Ontario District was the support of theological students and native pastors. In 1916, the Ontario District League joined the National Lutheran Walther League of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, which then adopted the name International Walther League. The League supported special projects such as the Wheatridge Sanitorium, the Walther League Messenger, and Leadership Training. In the early 70's, the organization came under the jurisdiction of the district and changed its name to Ontario District Lutheran Youth, becoming East District Lutheran Youth in 1990.

Fonds consists of constitutions, bylaws, minutes, correspondence, project files, histories, scrapbooks of projects and conventions, convention and rally booklets, newsletters, handbooks and photographs pertaining to the Walther League of the Ontario District of Lutheran Church-Canada.
