Victoria Street - Benmiller Pastoral Charge was formed ca. 1955, and included Victoria Street Church in Goderich, Benmiller, and, until ca. 1966, Union Church in Goderich Township. In January 2013, both Benmiller and Victoria Street closed and amalgamated with North Street United Church in Goderich, now called Lakeshore United Church.
Victoria Street United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. The Victoria Street Methodist Church was established ca. 1859 as Goderich Methodist Episcopal Church. The church building was constructed in 1878. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. It formed part of a two-point charge with Union Church until 1955 when Benmiller joined the charge to form Victoria Street-Benmiller Pastoral Charge. The church was destroyed by a tornado August 21, 2011 and the church was demolished later that October. The congregation met at Benmiller United Church until it was decided to disband the congregation. It amalgamated with North Street United Church, which was renamed Lakeshore on January 1, 2013.
Benmiller United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. The Methodist Church in Benmiller was established ca. 1853. It joined the United Church of Canada in 1925 and formed part of Benmiller Pastoral Charge with Smith's Hill. In 1927, the church was renovated and rededicated. In 1940, it became part of Nile-Benmiller Pastoral Charge. It amalgamated with North Street United Church, which was renamed Lakeshore on January 1, 2013.
Union United Church in Goderich Township was established in 1925, formerly Presbyterian. It closed ca. 1961.
