Administrative history

The University Women's Club of Barrie was founded in 1957 and its first charter executive was elected on 28 October of that year. The club's membership was made up primarily of women with undergraduate and graduate degrees. The club disbanded after 1993.

Custodial history

The records of the University Women's Club of Barrie were deposited at the Simcoe County Archives by a former membership chair, who acquired them at the disbanding meeting of the organization.
