The vast majority of these records are correspondence, minutes, memoranda, and reports that relate to University and external business during the periods of the individuals’ appointments. A large part of the correspondence is between the Presidents, and various University officials, or members of the public. While most series came and went with a given President, a few span the tenures of more than one President. The fonds does not include any records of the first President of Western, Nathaniel C. James, as none are known to exist. Fonds is comprised of the following series: Ernest Edward Braithwaite correspondence William Sherwood Fox general correspondence Faculty Appointments correspondence William Sherwood Fox subject files Convocation guest and graduate registers George Edward Hall correspondence
