The University of St. Michael's College, St. Michael's College Student Union (SMCSU) began its life as the Student Administrative Council (SAC) 1950-1967, and continued its business to and beyond 1999. Its President was elected by the students from among its body and held the position for one year. With the students it published several publications: The Yearbooks (under varying titles) annually from 1910 to 1999, The Mike (a newspaper published about six times a year (1947-1999) and collections of literary works of the students.

Scope and content

This fonds contains the records of the St., Michael's Students Administrative Council (1950-1986) and the Minutes of the St. Michael's College Student Union (1936-1986), as well as collections of its publications, The Yearbooks (1910-1999), the Mike (1947-1989) and its separate literary collections (1946 -1989). The Yearbooks cover the period when both St. Michael's College School (high school) and St. Michael's College (Arts & Science) were situaton one site, that is, up until 1950, when SMCS re-located.
