        History

        The Centre for Second Language Learning is established at the Faculty of Arts in 1968, after the Senate's resolution 68-69.120. It changes its name to Second Language Institute on January 1st 1989, and is responsible for providing students and staff with means for improving their proficiency in the other official language. The Centre also does research in fields of teaching of second languages, and provides special training to second language teachers.
