The Air Force Historical Research Agency (AFHRA) is the repository for Air Force historical documents. The Agency's collection began in Washington, D.C. during the Second World War. In 1949 the Agency moved to Maxwell Air Force Base, the site of Air University, to provide research facilities for professional military education students, the faculty, visiting scholars, and the general public. The repository in 2014 conists of over 70 million pages devoted to history of the service, and represents the world's largest and most valuable organized collection of documents on US military aviation.

Fonds consists of 2 microfilm reels. The first reel includes historical summaries, correspondence and reports regarding the US Army Air Force airfields in Mingan, Quebec and in Goose Bay, Labrador. The reel also references Air Transport Command, Presque Isle, Maine and the 382nd AAF Base Unit in Mingan.Presque Isle and New York's headquarters. The second reel includes historical summaries, correspondence and reports regarding various U.S. military installations in Canada, Greenland and the United States.
