    The Toronto Typographical Union was a union representing newspaper printers in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

    Scope and content

    Fonds consists of records of the Toronto Typographical Union (Local 91), as well as some records of the Brampton Local of the International Typographical Union, the Toronto Web Pressman's Union, and of various Newspaper Chapels in Toronto. Fonds includes minutes of: the union executive committee, the commercial contract negotiating committee, and regular union meetings; of the Brampton Local of the International Typographical Union; of the Toronto Web Pressman's Union meetings; and of meetings held by members of the Toronto Telegram Chapel, the Globe and Mail Chapel, and the Toronto Star Chapel. Fonds also contains account books of the Toronto Typographical Union (Local 91), including account books for the Organization, Defence, and Relief Fund, the Out of Work Fund, and an account book of membership dues.
