Biographical history

From 1974 to 1986 Timothy McCaskell was a member of the collective that ran The Body Politic, Canada’s iconic gay liberation monthly magazine. As a long-time AIDS activist in 1988 he became a founding member of AIDS Action Now!, which was formed to bring attention to AIDS issues through highly public actions and campaigns, he is also a spokesperson for Queers Against Israeli Apartheid. McCaskell is the author of "Race to Equity: Disrupting Educational Inequality", and has worked in with students in Toronto schools doing anti-racism and anti-homophobia work for over twenty years.
