Biographical history
The Task Force on Military Museum Collections in Canada was established in 1990. Its purpose was to examine the development of military collections in Canadian museums. It examined and made recommendations concerning the preservation, development, interpretation and display of Canadian military history museum collections, including those of the Canadian War Museum, the Canadian Aviation Museum and the Canadian Forces Museum system.

Fonds consists of documents regarding the creation of the Task Force on Military Museums Collections in Canada to examine the development of military history museum collections in Canada. Includes memoranda, briefings, studies and other documents. Financial papers are also in the collection, as well as Canadian Forces (CF) Museum disposal requirements. Float files, arranged chronologically, provide documentation on museum accreditation, invoices, receipts and CF badges.
