Biographical history

Timothy J.A. Le Goff (1942- ), began teaching at York in 1969 as a lecturer and is now associate professor of history, at York University. He was educated at the University of London (PhD 1970). His research interest is in seventeenth and eighteenth-century rural society in France. He is the author of several studies, including 'Vannes and its region: a study of town and country in eighteenth-century France,' (1981), and editor of 'Vannes aux debut de la Revolution,' (1989).
