        History

        The Department of Student Affairs is established in 1959 in the Rector's Office. In 1970, it is replaced by Student Services, which reports Vice-Rector (Academic). In 1990, the Department becomes the Students' Affairs General Directorate. Seven student services operate under its umbrella. These are the Directorate of the University Centre, the Financial Aid and Awards Service, the Housing Services, the Career and Counseling Services, the Health Services, the Sports Services, Student life that includes the Campus Ministry, the women's Resource Center, the Foreign Student Counsellor, the Socio-Cultural Activities. It reports now to Vice-Rector (University Relations).
