Founded in 1967, the Archives hold records of our story right back to 1952. We house many rare and unique artefacts, from the robe worn by Alec Guinness in the inaugural 1953 production of Richard III and a wide range of design sketches, to archival videos of productions and a copy of the Fourth Folio of Shakespeare’s works from 1685.
We also hold the personal archives of such Festival artists as Tanya Moiseiwitsch, Brian Jackson, Richard Monette and Stanley Silverman.
