Notice biographique
Stanley Moore was born in Norwich, Ontario, in 1881. His parents Henry S. Moore (1848-1920) and Cordelia Stover were Quakers. Stanley's grandfather Gilbert Moore (1819-1882) and father Henry S. served as Post Masters in Norwich. Stanley attended Westtown Boarding School, Pennsylvania, USA from 1895-1896. He also attended the Toronto School of Denistry in 1899 but did not seem to graduate according to personal correspondence. Correspondence indicates he served in the Boer War noting a medal and discharge papers. Between 1902-1919 Stanley worked a variety of jobs in the Norwich area including Post Office, surveyer and electrican on Stover St. Last record in father's obituary notes Stanley wasliving in Brampton, ON in 1921.
