History
The St. Joseph Region Archives of the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph preserves the documentary heritage of the RHSJ communities that compromised the St. Joseph Province and its administration, which became the St. Joseph Region in 2001.
Geographical and cultural context
It contains records relating to the English-speaking RHSJ foundations in Ontario, New Brunswick, Illinois, Wisconsin, Montanna, and Alberta that joined together in 1953 forming the St. Joseph Province. The records of the Hotel-Dieu of Windsor were included following the transition from Province to Region.
