        Dear parents + sister:
I really do not know what to write about as all mail is censored + we are not allowed to mention any thing in regards to our place of encampment + what is going on. We arrived here safely last Friday + certainly was a fine trip. Beautiful scenery. The place where we are now encamped is certainly a beauty spot

        [Page 2]
but expect to be moved shortly. Expect to be in action before long. Have met several boys who have been over here for some time and all are looking well. Have also seen a goodly number of German prisoners + they all seem to be quite happy. How is everything at home. Hope business is keeping up. Wish I could be there to give you a helping hand. Will write again in few days. Give best regards to all. Your loving son
        Sheldon

Willie + I are together but cannot tell how soon we might be separated. Graham, Wilfred + Bish boys are still in Eng. How is Mrs. Winkler + Brills 2. Is but 2 mos. + half till my birthday the day that war broke out. Seems as though we have been here for several years. Will be happy when time comes for our return + hope it will not be long. Do not bother sending any more parcels as they are liable to go astray. Finished up dried beef yesterday + sure appreciated it. Will have to close.
        Sheldon
