Nothing is known about the establishment and running of the Royal Canadian School of Artillery Reference Library. From the documents in the collection it appears that the library consisted of technical materials intended to serve the reference and academic needs of the Artillery School.

Fonds consists of library material arranged according to their Royal Canadian School of Artillery Reference Library accession numbers. Includes the following periodicals on intelligence: Technical Digest (1962-1964), Technical Intelligence Bulletin (1955-1960; incomplete), RCAF ADC Intelligence Bulletin (1957-1958), and Intelligence digest of foreign equipment (1961-1962). Also includes reports, pamphlets, manuals and other documents. There are two series: Fonds is comprised of the following series:
I. Unclassified Documents (1944-1969)
II. Classified Documents (1955-1962)
