Biographical history
Ron Wilton was a member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and he was posted to western Canada in 1944 to train with the Royal Canadian Air Force through the British Commonwealth Air Training Program, also known as the Empire Air Training Scheme. He was born on December 20th 1923 in New Zealand. He lives with his family in Kapiti Village, Paraparaumu, NZ.

Fonds consists of correspondence, photographs, a digital video disk (DVD) and a compact disk (CD) regarding various New Zealand veterans with the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) who had spent time in Canada as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan during the Second World War. The DVD and CD are a video of a memorial tree planting in 1962 and the soundtrack to the video. This fonds includes letters, photographs, and memorabilia from New Zealanders Ron Wilton, Jack Smith, Frank Ward, WR Webster, HM Williamson, A. E Stratton, Keith Illingsworth, G.G.Earnshaw, Jim Bisset, Garth Harrison and Bill Anderson. Each author's contribution is in a separate folder.
