Rideau Pastoral Charge was formed in 1966 when Westport and Burridge congregations joined with Newboro to form a three-point charge. It is still an active charge of the United Church of Canada.
Westport Pastoral Charge was formed in 1925; formerly Methodist; it included Westport, Salem Church in North Crosby Township, and Burridge Church in Bedford Township; it was dissolved in 1966, at which time Salem was closed and Westport and Burridge became part of the new Rideau Pastoral Charge.

Fonds consists of circuit registers, 1859-1919, and Missionary Society subscription lists, 1906-1923, of the Newboro Methodist Circuit (includes Newboro, Forfar, Burridge, Zion Church and Salem Church in North Crosby Township, Westport, Crosby (formerly Singleton's Corners and Singleton), and Clear Lake); Trustee Board minutes of Westport Methodist Church, 1883-1902; baptisms, 1904-1953, marriages, 1896-1953, burials, 1904-1953, and membership records, 1891-1976, of Westport Pastoral Charge (includes Westport Methodist Circuit, Westport, Bedford, Salem Church in North Crosby Township, and Burridge Church in Bedford Township; after 1966, the membership records include Westport and Burridge only); baptisms, 1910-1945, marriages, 1910-1932, and burials, 1910-1946 of Newboro Pastoral Charge (includes Newboro Methodist Circuit, Newboro, Crosby, Forfar, and Clear Lake); Official Board minutes of Rideau Pastoral Charge (includes Newboro Pastoral Charge, Westport, Burridge and Newboro), 1933-1983; Young Peoples Society minutes, 1931-1937, and Sunday School financial record book, 1893-1942, of Newboro United Church (includes Newboro Methodist Church); records of Westport United Church, 1947-1960; and minutes of congregational meetings, 1949-1982, of Burridge United Church.
