The Centre for Regional Studies is established in 1968 as the Regional Development Research Centre. This multi-disciplinary centre is attached, for administrative purposes, to the Department of Geography and, for academic purposes, to the School of Graduate Studies and Research. It offers specialized courses on urban and regional development and promoted research projects in those areas. The Centre is abolished in 1973.
