February 1982; (3) CN Railway Station, Port Hope Ontario by Martin E. Eaver, Director of Education & Technical Services, Heritage Canada Foundation Conservation Study, July 5, 1982; (4) Stipulated price contact, 1984; (5) Agreement between CNR Company and Ontario Heritage Foundation and ACO, March 1983; (6) Agreement between the Canadian Railway Company and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Culture and Citizenship and the ACO re: $180,000 between the 3 parties; (7) Document regarding the transfer of land between CNR and ACO, 1987; (8) Railway information kit for aid in the conservation of Heritage Railway Stations; (9) Newspaper articles concerning the reopening of the Station.

File consists of one (1) poster-sized plan for a sign for the renovation of the Canadian National Railway station, created by the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario, Port Hope Branch.

Item is a commemorative booklet for the 75th Anniversary of the Canton United Church (the brick structure), 1951. The booklet includes short history about congregation, buildings, cemetery and organizations.

File consists of nineteen (19) pages of drawings and notes for the interior and exterior of the Capitol Theatre building, 1997.

File consists of a report created for ARCOP Architects, Toronto for the restoration of the Capitol Theatre. Report examines the samples of paint taken from the Capitol Theatre and in detail categorizes, numbers and highlights the numbers on images of the interior and exterior. Condition reports are given on specific ares of the theatre based on the paint/colour samples gathered.

Fonds consists of materials created by the Capitol Theatre Foundation over the course of renovations of the historic movie theatre, in Port Hope, 1992-2004.

File consists of a report created for the Capitol Theatre Foundation by Le Groupe Parallele, Quebec with Rod Stewart as the foundation's contact. The report is primarily a photographic survey of the Capitol Theatre as it appeared in Apr 1995. Results of the report, in the binder include: a written record of photographs; ten (10) as found drawing sheets, three photokey plans and contact sheets of the photographic study.

File consists of a Heritage Recording Report with a written record, photographs, 20 as found drawings, 8 photokey plans and contact sheets of the photographic survey. Also includes the documents in PDF format on CD-ROM and 3.5" floppy disks. Photokey plans are of the basement, first floor, second floor and roof, and exterior of the building. Photographs reflect all ares of the theatre from machinery to interior fixtures and roof and chimney.

File consists of two (2) drawings based on the image of a period light fixture from the foyer of the Capitol c. 1930. Roving Recorders Heritage was hired to recreate drawings so the light fixture could be replicated for the restoration of the theatre, in 1998.

Fonds consists of fourteen (14) movie posters created by and for the Capitol Theatre, 20 Queen Street, Port Hope. All the movies were screened between 1941-1942.

File consists of correspondence and miscellaneous papers collected in the early part of the Capitol Theatre Heritage Foundation until the completion of the restoration. It also includes: newsletters, articles, facsimile and agendas, 1992-2004.

Series consists of four (4) military publications originally owned by Capt. Alfred Henry Clark Long as part of his training and deployment with "A" Company in the 46th Regiment, 136th Battalion, 1909-1916. It includes: "Regulations for the Clothing of the Canadian Militia, Part II," 1909; "Notes on Company Training 3rd Division"; "Tactical Notes"; "Canadian Expeditionary Force Units - Instructions for Governing Organization and Administration," 1916.

Collection consists of family bibles, and other ephemera related to several local families (Powe, Haskill, Rowden and Gordon) from the Port Hope area, c1847-1937. For more detailed information, please refer to series and item-level descriptions.

File consists of documents regarding Carveth et al vs McLean. A. G. McLean owed money to John and Joseph Carveth. John and Joseph Carveth, as the plaintiffs were represented by George Brogdin. John Carveth was a butcher with a stall at the Market Building (town hall) as indicated in the 1856-57 and 1857-58 directories.

File consists of common pleas between Carveth vs Mason, 8 Dec 1858. Sheriff's sale of Robert and James Mason's interest in a schooner being erected in the dockyard in Port Hope. The sale was advertised on 9 Dec 1858 for 10 days.

Item is a "Cash for Oats" advertisement for R.W. Robson, 1843.

Item is an untitled cookbook created by the Catholic Women's League of St. Mary's Church (now Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church), c1960.

Item is an edition of "C.C.M. Exercise Book" for High School Entrance Examination Papers (Ontario), c1926-1932. It is inscribed as belonging to Irene Watts of Port Hope High School, and contains a sponsored add for John T. Steen Walton Street Port Hope 277W and 277J.

Series consists of three (3) publications of "Central Ontario Lakeshore Sports Look." Publications are for Port Hope and Cobourg and cost $0.85 each. They are for week #1 (9 Feb 1990), week #2 (23 Feb 1990) and week #3 (9 Mar 1990). All three publications include; tsn tv listings, local sports information, stats, schedules and OHL information. In week #3, there is also information about spring training and a Jays and Chiefs schedule.
