Lt. Pauline Dumont-Bayliss was employed by the Directorate of History, Department of National Defence from January 1988 until August 1991. She researched the role of Canadians in the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Congo from 1960 to 1964.

Fonds consists of material documenting Lt. Pauline Dumont-Bayliss' research on the role of Canadians in the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Congo from 1960 to 1964. Includes interviews with Canadians who served in the Congo (on audio tapes with accompanying transcripts), articles and other papers relating to ONUC (United Nations Operations in the Congo) as well as drafts of the creator's work. Also includes interviews with two Canadians who served with UNIFIL [United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon] in 1991.
