Administrative history
The Parish of Mattawa presently consists of three churches and formerly included one other. St. Augustine's, Deux Rivieres, a log church, was built around 1855. St. Margaret's, Rutherglen was built around 1855. Land in Mattawa was acquired by the Rev. C.V. Forster Bliss in 1882 and St. Alban's, Mattawa was constructed shortly thereafter. St. Michael's, Eau Claire opened in 1893, but had been closed for some years by 1906. Authority was given in 1921 to sell the church property and by 1936 St. Michael's, Eau Claire no longer exists.
