Series consists of minutes of meetings of the Chiefs of Staff Committee between the years 1950 and 1955. Beginning with a list of attendees, the minutes describe the events of the meeting, the issues considered by the participants and the decisions reached. Soviet intentions, continental air defense, the Canada/US Emergency Defence Plan, German unification, the Far East and the standardization of equipment are just some of the issues discussed. Also includes a large collection of supporting documents, correspondence and briefs. The material is arranged in chronological order.
