    Biographical history

    Robert John Percival McCullogh (1882 1955) and his son Clement John McCullogh (b. 1914) were both ophthalmologists and amateur photographers.

    Robert McCullogh was born in Lloydtown, Ontario and served as President of the Canadian Ophthalmologist Association. Clement McCullogh was born in Belleville, Ontario, and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He was appointed Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto in 1961.

    Scope and content

    Fonds consists of home movies shot by Robert and Clement McCullogh between 1937 and 1964. The films depict numerous family activities at home as well as footage of family and friends at Ontario locales such as Muskoka, Ottawa, the St. Lawrence valley, and Niagara Falls. Also included is the 1960 Toronto Santa Claus parade. Included in the films is footage related to a number of family trips, including Egypt, the United States, India, Europe, and Western Canada.
