Notice biographique

Martha Ann Kidd (nee Maurer) was born October 15, 1917 and resided in Peterborough, Ontario until her death on July 30, 2012. She married Kenneth E. Kidd (late Trent University Professor) in October 1943. She was a well-known and respected local historian. As well, she was known for her talents as an author and artist. She was an authority on architecture, particularly the architecture of the Peterborough region. Martha Ann Kidd was a member of the Peterborough Historical Society and of the Friends of the Bata Library. In the past she was also the chair of the Old Buildings Committee of the Peterborough Historical Society and a member of Peterborough's Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee.

Papers also include research notes and publications by Martha’s late husband Kenneth Kidd, a former professor of Anthropology at Trent University.

Collection was donated by Martha Anne Kidd in July 2003.
