Biographical history
Leonard Wilfred Jodoin (1914-1991) was an amateur photographer who came to live in the Ottawa area in 1962. A veteran of the 2nd World War, he remained in the Canadian army until the late 1960's, after which he worked for the Beach Foundry (manufacturers of electric and gas ranges, furnaces and water heaters) located at 75 Spencer Street.
Custodial history
Material remained in the custody of his daughter, Mary Jodoin, following his death.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of photos depicting various Ottawa scenes and events in the 1970's and 1980's such as "Winterlude" ice sculpture competitions and balloon rides as well as assorted views of the Rideau Canal in the downtown section of the city. Included in the fonds is a black and white photo of Leonard W. Jodoin taken in the 1940's.
