        Joseph Hector LeMay (RCA) served with the 79th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, in Germany during the post-Second World War period. After he was rejected from the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve and the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was accepted into the Royal Canadian Artillery. While he was serving in Germany, he supported an orphanage by collecting money from the other members of his regiment. After his retirement in 1980, he became a member (and president) of the South Ottawa Lions Club, of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Royal Canadian Legion. LeMay also worked for Cory Coffee Service Plan as a sale representative. He volunteered for many years for the Christmas Exchange of Ottawa-Carleton and also raised thousands dollars for the commemoration of the Ortona battle.
