Administrative history
Knox Presbyterian Church, Belmont was organized in the 1840's as a mission station of the Presbyterian Church in Canada and was established as a congregation in 1850. In 1856, the congregation was a united charge with a joint session with Yarmouth. In 1889 this tie was dissolved but in 1890, Belmont was linked with Kilmartin Presbyterian Church, Yarmouth.
