Dr. Joseph Adamson (1786-1852) practised medicine in Sheridan, Peel County, Ontario from 1822 to 1852.

Fonds consists of the journal of Dr. Joseph Adamson, written 1851-1852, while he practised medicine in Peel County. The journal primarily contains prescriptions and treatments for patients, written in both Latin shorthand and English. Also included are entries referring to the weather. In addition, the journal contains various clippings from Scobie's Canadian Almanac, 1851, and a letter regarding a land dispute, 1877.
