    John Whitford (fl. 1883-1908) was the Secretary of the Brooklin, Ontario Council of Royal Templars of Temperance (No. 102), and a collector for the Upper Canada Bible Society.

    Scope and content

    Fonds consists primarily of records relating to John Whitford's activities with the Brooklin Council of Temperance. It includes printed materials such as ritual books, services, etc. It also includes a Degree Covenant Book (which notes initiations to the Templars), a Ladies Mutual Aid Assessment Book (recording payments made) and a Beneficiary Register (recording payments made). It also includes some loose papers such as a certificate of standing, and auditors statements, and various printed pamphlets and cards relating to the society. Fonds also includes a collection book for the Upper Canada Bible Society, and a few printed materials relating to the society.
