General note

John McLeod was born in 1865 to Hugh McLeod and Agnes Campbell in Coldwater, Ontario. He married Jane Eplett in Coldwater, Ontario (Simcoe County) on June 25, 1890. McLeod was a Merchant for sixteen years and became the Postmaster for Sudbury during the last three years of his life. He died of a Cerebral Hemorrhage (stroke) on March 25, 1918 in Sudbury, Ontario. He was interred at Fair Valley Cemetery in Coldwater, Ontario.
