Custodial history
Scope and content
Fonds consists of records documenting the activities of International Institute of Metropolitan Toronto and its predecessors. All aspects of the operation of the Institute are well represented, including Minutes of the Board of Directors, records of the executive and staff of the organization, and records of many committees of the Institute, such as the Asian Immigrant Youth Centre, the Uganda Refugees Committee, and committees relating to training, educational services, legal aid services, and branches of the Institute. The activities of the Reception Centre are also documented in the fonds. The fonds contains minutes, correspondence, newsletters, reports, and client case files. It contains information on many of the ethnic groups that were immigrating to Toronto between 1952 and 1975, particularly Hungarians arriving after 1956.
