Biografie

The Village of Innerkip has its beginnings in the early 19th century when settlers from Scotland, England and Ireland settled in and around the 17th concession of East Zorra. Originally know as Melrose, the Village of Innerkip officially received its name with the coming of the post office in 1853. In 1913, Innerkip was incorporated as a Police Village. On January 1, 1975 the village was incorporated into the township of East Zorra-Tavistock.
