Fonds consists of collection notes on material held by Walker (including pieces donated to the ROM), documentation on a bronze bust of Walker, correspondence, photographs and other miscellaneous material relating to the collections of Edmund Walker.

This series contains records created and accumulated by the office of the General Treasurer for the Sisters of St. Joseph in London, Ontario. The records are primarily related to managing the donations given by and to the Sisters and the funding for their ministries, missions, Motherhouses, residences, and outreach projects. In London, St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre provided food security programs, Medaille Retreat House was a spiritual retreat centre for the Sisters, the Queens Avenue building was a home for women in need, and the Boulee Street house was a ministry to the poor. The Adult Spirituality Centre, St. Joseph’s Manor, the Foster Home on St. Rose Avenue, and Holy Rosary Convent were all in Windsor. St. Joseph’s Manor and the Foster Home were ministries to children in need and Holy Rosary Convent was the main convent for the Windsor Sisters. The Adult Spirituality Centre in Windsor provided spiritual direction and retreats. Another spiritual retreat, Marygrove, was in Aylmer. Outside of Ontario, there are records concerning the Photo History Project at Ataguttaaluk School in Igloolik, Nunavut in which Sister Mary Diesbourg participated, the Sisters at St. Joseph Regional House in Edmonton, Alberta, and the mission in Peru including the collaboration with Heart-Links, a London based charity focused on Peru.

The series includes reports, meeting agendas and minutes, mission statements, budgets, floorplans, funding proposals and requests, grant applications, forms, lists of Sisters involved with specific projects and sites, and correspondence concerning funding, donations, location changes, operations, and testimonials from the public supporting the Sisters’ projects. There are also resolution agreements from the Sisters’ projects. One agreement is with the sole shareholder of a company connected to a property owned by the London congregation, Marygrove, concerning the finances and leadership positions within the company. The other agreement is between the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and the Sisters of St. Joseph to decide the future of the Adult Spirituality Center.

One of the ways that Sisters could request funding for their ministries from the congregation was through the Apostolic Services Fund. Arrangements for the creation of this fund, outlines of requirements to qualify for funding and funding applications are included.

Not all the material is concerned with finances. Some records pertain to other projects the General Treasurer was involved with, particularly when Sister Loretta Manzara held the office. In 2007, the Sisters moved from Mount St. Joseph to a new LEED certified residence at 485 Windermere Road. in the series includes records related to this transition such as the Sisters’ Statement of Values, reports, pamphlets, news clippings, an issue of London Citylife, and newsletters (one of which was titled Crossing Over). There is also material concerned with the sale of Mount St. Joseph, the former Motherhouse.

At the 2012 Foundation Day, the Annals Project was presented. It focused on a shift from keeping annals to looking at the life of the entire congregation as expressed through Chapter reports. Pamphlets, agendas, meeting minutes, and a report on this project are present. Accompanying this material are annotated photocopies of various reports covering the Sisters’ activities from 1959 to 2011 which were referenced for the project.

Records related to the London Sisters’ involvement in Goderich, Ontario are also present, such as correspondence and pamphlets about their commitment to the area and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first convent outside London.

The series also includes descriptions of icons painted by Sister Mary Anthony Hartleib, as well as prints of some of her artwork (including on the back of her funeral card), and photographs of artwork by Philip Aziz. Other photographs in the series are from the mission in Peru and of students and elders in the report for the Photo History Project at Ataguttaaluk School.

This fonds consists of records primarily related to the history and administration of the St. Joseph Health Care Society in London. There are some additional materials related to its responsibilities to facilities in Chatham and Sarnia. The fonds contains correspondence, legal documents, minutes and reports.

Academic records include: research notes and writing drafts, finished articles, poems, and shorts stories, class notes, and correspondence. Activist records includes: materials relating to groups which Lynch was a part of, such as organizational records, newsletters, and correspondence.

Fonds consists of executive minutes and historical records created and or accumulated by the Royal City Quilters Guild.

The Collection contains draft and published articles written by Hardy and four files of correspondence sent or received by Hardy, including around 150 amicable exchanges with Jalbert or his company Jalbert Aerology Labratory, Inc. There are also letters sent to different associations and companies to promote an understanding of Jalbert’s contributions to aviation. The letters between Hardy and Jalbert often touch on the latter’s current scientific activities. Other correspondence sent by Hardy reflects his efforts to historicize Jalbert. There are also three files of clippings, photographs, notes, and other textual documents gathered by Hardy over time, and one file containing genealogical research that Hardy conducted on the Jalbert family.

Records include photographs of the Graves and Babcock families of Mount Salem, and a funeral card for Lloyd Graves (1824-1928). Item-level description is available.

Fonds consists of records relating to David Barker Stevenson's activities as a merchant and a politician. Fonds includes incoming and outgoing correspondence, as well as accounts, promissory notes, a barter book, a day book, account books, and a ledger. Most correspondence is of a business nature, consisting of requests for credit, and discussing various business matters (such as prices of various items). Some letters concern local matters, such as schools, the Municipal Council, and the local church. Fonds also includes some accounts of the Prince Edward Agricultural Society.

Fonds consists of records created and accumulated by the Congress of Black Women of Canada - Toronto Chapter. The majority of the textual records concern the administration of the Toronto Chapter. Also included are records concerning the Barsa Kelly Cari-Can Housing Co-operative and the documentary Children Are Not the Problem. Fonds also includes sound and moving records concerning the documentary Children Are Not the Problem. Included are motion picture films and audio reels, which contain interviews with day-care workers, parents and education professionals and researchers that explore issues of racism in early childhood education. Artifacts include a Toronto Chapter office sign and a plaque presented to the Toronto Chapter from the Black Secretariat.

Fonds consists of the professional records of Dr. Inez Elliston, a retired educator, community development leader, trainer, lecturer, researcher and writer based in Toronto, Ontario who specializes in intercultural education, anti-racism training, the management of diversity in the multicultural classroom and community, and the delivery of equitable educational policies. Specific records include: correspondence, reports, conference materials, papers and publications, research materials, presentations, teaching aides, promotional materials, clippings and photographs. The fonds documents Dr. Elliston's career as an educator primarily with the Scarborough Board of Education and the Ontario Ministry of Education as well as her work as a private consultant on several provincial and national initiatives addressing citizenship education, the needs of immigrant women, youth leadership training programs and university transition programs. Dr. Elliston's involvement with community groups and organizations such as the Canadian Council for Multicultural and Intercultural Education (CCMIE), the Ontario Multicultural Association multiculturelle de l'Ontario (OMAMO) and the Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) is also well-represented in the fonds. The fonds also includes Dr. Elliston's research materials and writings, both published and unpublished. Some of the topics addressed include multiculturalism, anti-racism and equity programming in schools, parent education, the accommodation of students in the school system and women's issues. Dr. Elliston's correspondence documents her professional career as well as her involvement with numerous community organizations, her conference presentations, awards she has received and her appointments to various boards and agencies.

Fonds consists of records created and accumulated by Claire Prieto and Roger McTair as individual film makers and as a production team, from the years following their arrival in Canada until present day. The majority of the records consist of sound and moving images, as well as photographs and textual records relating to projects undertaken by Prieto and McTair.

The records pertain to the following productions: Home to Buxton, It's Not An Illness, Different Timbres, Some Black Women, Jennifer Hodge: The Glory and the Pain, Jane Finch Again!, Children Are Not the Problem, Black Nova Scotia, and projects related to employment equity. Also included are research and publicity files accumulated by Prieto and McTair and those concerning their production company.

Prieto and McTair's films have been screened in several film festivals, including Black International Film Festival (Indiana, U.S.A.), Yorkton Film Festival (Yorkton, Saskatchewan), Pan-African Film and T.V. Festival (Ouagadougu, Burkina Faso), 12th International Women's Film Festival (France), American Educational Film and Video Festival (New York), Toronto International Film Festival, Black Light Film Festival (Chicago), Margaret Mead Film Festival (New York), and the Atlantic Film Festival (Halifax).

The fonds is arranged into eleven series primarily based on the films and documentaries produced by Prieto and McTair.

Fonds consists of the personal records of Daniel G. Hill, 1870-1989. Fonds includes Hill family correspondence, 1870-1989. Fonds also contains personal files created by Hill while he was Ontario Ombudsmen, Ontario Human Rights Director and Commissioner, and Director of Daniel G. Hill and Associates. Fonds also include records created by Hill during his involvement with various associations including: the University of Toronto School of Social Work, the Police Complaints Board, and the Ontario Black History Society. Fonds also includes approximately 800 photographs, ca. 1890-1989. Subjects represented include: Hill family members, Coakley family members, Edwards family members, the Ontario Black History Society, and Hill's various activities as a Director of OHC and Ombudsman. Fonds also includes 4 film reels of Hill family movies, 1953-[196-?]. Fonds also contains 17 audio cassettes containing oral history interviews, conducted 1976-1983.
