Series consists of ordnance pamphlets distributed by the United States Navy Department Bureau of Ordnance. The pamphlets were intended to aid the naval officer aboard ship toward increasing his knowledge of weapons and ammunition on the ship. The series includes pamphlets on the production, handling, stowing and shipping of ammunition; assembly of turrets and mounts; design and manufacturer of various weaponry; range tables for mounted guns; and various information on other weapons.

Series consists of bulletins regarding a 1955 11th meeting of the Joint Army-Navy-Air Force Solid Propellant Group, lecture notes and sketches regarding underwater weapons, and wo publications on the Digital Automatic Tracking and Remoting System (DATAR) used by the Royal Canadian Navy. Series consists of Volume 1 of three volumes which constituted the final report on a study performed for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) on a ship launched Close Range Missile System for the new DDH-280 destroyers and OSS supply ships. The volume in Part 1 reports on the technical study of the RCN proposed Close range Missile System and in Part 2 reports on a company funded study of an alternate approach to a Close Range Missile System for the RCN.
