Series consists of two (2) items of correspondence created by the Haultain family. It includes: (1) Letter to Mrs. Haultain from a Trinity College School student, c. 1914; (2) Notes from Mr. Haultain, a relief work convenor during World War I, c. 1921.

Fonds consists primarily of the correspondence of Scott Ackerman Medd to his parents, Sidney Taylor Medd and Estelle Lumsden Ackerman and his sister Mary E. Medd. The correspondence covers such topics as Scott's education at Trinity College School in Port Hope and at the Royal Academy in London, England, his development as an artist, life in England, and World War II. The fonds also consists of family records of Thomas and Mary Medd, and includes emigration and settlement letters, 1819-1919; correspondence to Robert Medd, 1820-1852; and correspondence to and from Sidney Taylor Medd during World WarI. Also included are photographs of various members of the Medd family and sketches and sketchbooks of Scott Ackerman Medd

File consists of an art folder and watercolours by Henrietta Haultain in 1914. First painting dated Sep 1914 "The little white house in the first valley of Monkey Mt. Port Hope" and "The view from the top of the hill, Monkey Mountain Oct. 22nd 1914." This image appears to show Trinity College School.
