This fonds consists of the Brant Agricultural Society minute book (1862-1875), containing the minutes of directors' and annual membership meetings, which took place in Walkerton, reflecting the concerns and activities of the Society, as well as lists of competitors in the Brant Agricultural Exhibition / Annual Fall Fair. It also consists of a membership book containing the names and post offices of subscribers / members of the Society from 1868-1896, with information about dues paid. Enclosed in the membership book is "An Act to Further Improve the Agriculture and Arts Act, 1895"

This fonds consists of 5 record books kept by Robert B. Hillmer concerning his watchmaking and jewellery business. In the books, Mr. Hillmer recorded watch inventories (1899), as well as job numbers, client name, work requested and price. Item List: Watch Repair Book 1910 - 1913; Watch Repair Book 1924 - 1934; Watch Repair Book 1936 - 1954; Watch Repair Record book, 1913 - 1924; and Watch Repair Record book 1898-1910. The fonds also includes a Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Canada certificate appointing Robert Benjamin Hillmer to the office of Grand Superintendent of Huron District No. 6, February 28, 1918.

Item is a notice to invite Port Hope residents to organize the Port Hope Horticultural Society in 1894. From the back of the card: "Notice! A meeting of the members of the proposed Port Hope Horticultural Society will be held at 4 o'clock, p.m. on Thursday, January 11th, 1894 at the Provisional Council Chamber, in McLean's Building, on Walton Street, Port Hope, for the purpose of organizing the said Society and the Election of Officers for the first year. H. H. Burnham, Mayor Port Hope, Jan. 9th, 1894." Card is addressed to George Watson of Port Hope.

The contest was held as part of a dance event sponsored by the Port Hope Lions Club, and the Olde Tyme Christmas Committee, 1975. The winners were as follows: Beate Szpatt (Miss Old Tyme Christmas); Cheryl Eymen (1st Runner Up); Jayne Brown (2nd Runner Up); Chrystal Michaud and Pat Quigley (Honourable Mentions).
