Correspondence contains the incoming and outgoing letters of Alan Dewar, secretary of the Camp X Military Museums Board of Directors. The majority of letters focus on inviting important people to a dinner held in January 1978 to introduce the plans for the Museum to potential donors and members of the government. Included in the fonds are records pertaining to the purchase and maintenance of the Whitby Weekly News building, correspondence and letters regarding his enlistment in the RCAF, programs and background information for the Ten Centuries concerts, and the meeting minutes for his initiatives concerning Whitby senior citizens. There is one file of the incoming and outgoing correspondence of Whitby Mayor Harry Jermyn with regards to his support for the Whitby Dunlops.

A set of letters within the series detail the transfer of Bayside land from the Smith family to the Ontario provincial government for the purposes of the construction of the Ontario Hospital, Whitby, and depicts Lydia Smith, advocating for additional compensation for the land after the passing of her father and cessation of operations at the farm.

Also included are the minutes concerning the amalgamation of the Town of Whitby and the Township of Whitby in 1968.

She wrote about the team’s progress in the hockey tournament and her daily activities while visiting London, Frankfurt, Sweden, Oslo, Zurich, and Paris. Series also includes items found within the diary including cards and an itinerary.
