Danny CockerlineThe fonds contains records that reflect the life and work of Canadian broadcaster and novelist Shirley Shea dating from 1947 to 2003. The fonds consists predominantly of correspondence from her various publishers, pertaining to Shea’s mystery novels, licencing agreements, and royalties. It also includes promotional photographs of Shirley Shea, photographs of Shea working at a number of radio stations, and some personal photographs. The fonds also contains various editions of Shea’s novels: Victims: A Pound of Flesh, The Monarchs are Flying, Legal Tender, The Rabbit Hunter (Jagdtrieb in German), and a typescript of A Not So Gay World: Homosexuality in Canada.

Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention: Fonds consists of textual records produced by Harvey Blackman from 1975-1983 as a result of his involvement with various Gay and Lesbian activist groups in Montreal, including but not limited to “Montreal’s Slightly Older Gays,” the “Ville Marie Social Services Centre Gay Project,” “Intergroupe Gai(e) Montreal,” “Gay Youth of Montreal,” and “Naches.” Fonds also includes correspondence with the Moncton City Council over a case in which the Council sought to forbid the group Gay Alliance of Canada from celebrating Dominion Day in a public park as well as correspondence and documents regarding Blackman’s support of and donations to the “Body Politic Free the Press Fund.” Textual records include minutes, correspondence, annual reports, bulletins, financial documents, posters, volunteer records, clippings, and the manual for the Gay Services Project.

Pink TypeThe fonds contains the records of James Fraser, consisting of personal correspondence, articles by Fraser primarily about gay archives and history, newspaper articles about Fraser’s gay activism, a collection of historical editorials about homosexuality compiled by Fraser, and miscellaneous records pertaining to Fraser’s life and organizations with which he was involved. The fonds also includes obituaries and memorials for Fraser. While most of the records pertain to Toronto, his academic work was done in British Columbia, and some records relate to his early life and family in New Brunswick. The collected editorials are drawn from Canadian newspapers.
James FraserThe fonds includes scripts by members of the Lavender Shorts Collective. The scripts belonged to lighting director Jane Smith and are marked with lighting cues. The productions are Danger: Anger (June 1985) and Labour Pains: A Series of Skits and Speakers on the Subject of Lesbians & Work (March 17, 1986). Both were performed at the Theatre Centre (296 Brunswick Ave., Toronto). The fonds also includes the lighting design and program for Danger: Anger.
