This photographs shows the presidents of the Guelph-Wellington Men's Club. "Presidents 2009-2010 Keith C. 2008-2009 Gary C" is written on the reverse of this photograph.
This black cup contains the image of the Guelph (Carnegie) Public Library in use from 1905 to 1964. "Guelph Public Library" is written on the other side of the cup. "Made in China / Headwind" is written on the bottom of the cup.
Series consists of visual records that span McDermid’s youth and career. The records predominantly show McDermid’s public side: the images show him running for election, attending events, and fulfilling his duties as a member of Parliament.
Many of the photographs lacked context and were separated from each other. As a result, the files are arranged with photograph albums first, followed by records that have been artificially grouped by content and subject, and images that were from the same event were brought together. The files are arranged in a loose chronological order, with the earliest date in a date range informing the file’s position in each grouping’s chronology.
Files 1 - 12 consist of photograph albums. Events include the 1984 federal election campaign and the 1982 Proclamation of the Constitution Act. Individuals include Bill Davis, Joe Clark, and Brian Mulroney.
Files 13 – 14 consist of collages from photographs.
Files 15 – 54 consist of photographs that can, at minimum, be loosely dated to its decade. The files are arranged chronologically, with the earliest date in a file’s date range informing its position in the chronology. Individuals include John Diefenbaker, Joe Clark, Maureen McTeer, Yasuhiro Nakasone, Pierre Trudeau, Turgut Özal, and Brian Mulroney.
Files 55 – 56 consist of photographs that can only be narrowed between 1978 and 1993. Individuals include Bill Davis.
Files 57 – 67 consist of photographs that can only be narrowed between 1979 and 1993. Individuals include Shimon Peres, Pierre Trudeau, Ray Hnatyshyn, and Chuck Mangione.
Files 68 – 71 consist of photographs that can only be narrowed between 1984 and 1993. Individuals include Brian Mulroney, and Sandra Post.
File 72 consists of photographs that can only be narrowed between 1988 and 1993.
Files 73 – 74 consist of photographs that can only be stated to come after 1970. Individuals include Pat Carney, Bill Davis, and Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent.
Files 75 – 78 consist of photographs that can only be stated to fall within the 20th century. Individuals include McDermid’s parents, the Reverend John A. McDermid and Nora McDermid, and Gordon Graydon.
