Fonds consists of records kept by W.B. Crowe while a student at the Trinity Medical College (1892-1896) and for several years after graduation. Files include lecture notes and examination papers; printed ‘admission cards’ allowing entrance to lectures; receipts from the Registrar; certificates from the various levels of his training; programs from Medical College social functions including the annual dinners (1892-1895); speeches; commencement programs; notebooks; and papers relating to his time in Scotland. Also included is a prescription book with initial date of March 1894 that seems to have been used throughout his career as a physician. Photographs include a tintype of W.B Crowe treating a patient, a photograph of the dissecting class, and a class photograph. Also included is a clipping from the Toronto Globe and Mail showing the graduating class composite picture for 1895-6.

As a result of a disastrous fire in March of 1903, which destroyed the original Town Hall and almost all of the municipality’s early records, there is relatively little documentation covering Fort William’s first decade. The post 1903 records, however, reflect all categories of municipal functions, and responsibilities including council, administration, finance, waterworks, roads, planning, building, engineering, public transportation, parks, recreation, telephone, welfare, police and fire service.

The item is a container for Ivory Gloss Starch, produced by The St. Lawrence Starch Company in Ontario. The design of the tin was registered in 1897 and is commemorative of Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee. The sides of the tin feature a portrait of the Monarch and directions of use. The item is indicative of what may have been used at Lambton House while it was operational.

Item is one shoe last and stand, or cobbler's anvil. It would be attached to the cobblers bench and would provide support while they made or repaired shoes. The last at the top of the stand is detachable and would and likely would have come in a set with different sizes.

Item consists of 60 handmade clay marbles in varying colours, all roughly 1 cm in diameter. The marbles are housed in a fabric covered cardboard box, along with a small glass jar that holds 17 metal jacks. On the bottom, and inside the lid of the box, is a handwritten inscription explaining who previously owned and played with these items, however the name is illegible.
