Little from 1967-1972, and 1986-1997, containing newsclippings about the churches and congregational members that he served as well as newsclippings of his own family, and mementos.

Douglas Brymner fonds

Fonds consist primarily of 11 volumes of letter-books of Mr. Douglas Brymner, first Dominion Archivist of Canada. Nine of the volumes contain letters received by Mr. Brymner between the years 1838-1885, the majority being between 1875 and 1885. The other two volumes contain copies of Mr. Brymner's out-going letters from 1873-1886. The letters primarily relate to the issue of the 1875 union of the Presbyterian Church in Canada in Connection with the Church of Scotland with the various other Presbyterian denominations in Canada at the time. The fonds also consists of one volume containing the transcription of the appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada concerning a case between John Morrison (the plaintiff) and Donald McCuaig (defendant) acting as Syndics de la Congregation Presbyterienne, en connection avec L'eglise D'Ecosse des dites Cotes St. George et St. Patrice.

James Hannay family fonds

Fonds consists primarily of 43 sermons written by Rev. James Hannay between the years 1835 and 1851. The sermons, each of which has either a title or a biblical reference as a header, are contained in three loosely bound volumes. The majority of sermons were written and delivered during Rev. Hannay’s time as minister in Richibucto, New Brunswick. However, on many of the sermons there is also a second or third date noted from a time when Rev. Hannay had returned to Scotland. Included in the bound volumes are two addresses given by Rev. Hannay on the topic of temperance, delivered at the meetings of a temperance society, presumably in Richibucto. The fonds also contains two small typescript drafts on the history of Presbyterianism in New Brunswick written by James Hannay, son of Rev. Hannay.

Fonds consists of records created or collected by Dr. Charles Hay which document his life and career as an educator and administrator at Knox College, Toronto, and as a minister of The Presbyterian Church in Canada (PCC). Fonds includes Dr. Hay’s assignments, papers, exams, and reference resource materials from his time as a student at the University of Toronto, and Knox College, Toronto. Records documenting his ministerial career include sermons, and orders of service. Records documenting his role as a theologian, educator, and college administrator include correspondence, reports, course materials, lecture notes, and manuscripts. Records also document Dr. Hay’s involvement on PCC and ecumenical committees including the Articles of Faith Committee, Committee to Abolish Capital Punishment, Refugee Advisory Committee, Inter-Church Committee on Public Education, and the Lutheran Reformed Dialogue.

Fonds consists of records of the Rev. John Ross, his wife Anna Ross, and their daughter Elizabeth Ross Grace. The notes and writings of Elizabeth Ross Grace form the majority of the records in the fonds. The records of John Ross consist of a diary dated 21 March 1874 – 30 October 1874. The diary includes information about where he went, people he saw, biblical passages read, and meetings held. The records of Elizabeth Ross Grace consist of notes, drafts, resource materials, correspondence, newspaper clippings, diary entries, and personal mementos. The notes, drafts, and resource materials deal primarily with ecumenism and various aspects of church history including the disruption of 1844, the union of The Presbyterian Church in Canada in 1875, and Church Union of 1925. Photographs are of various members of the Grace family and places in India. The correspondence includes incoming and outgoing letters from colleagues, acquaintances, and Elizabeth Grace’s children. The newsclippings include published versions of Elizabeth Grace’s Letters-to-the-Editor and other items which were of interest to her. Integrated within the files of Elizabeth Ross Grace are also some writings of Anna Ross, the mother of Elizabeth Ross Grace and the wife of John Ross.

Edward Hewlitt Johnson fonds

Fonds consists of a variety of records that document both the life and work of The Rev. Dr. E.H. Johnson. A majority of the records document his service with the General Board of Missions of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, and especially his involvement in relief efforts during the Nigeria/Biafra conflict of the late 1960s. Other records reflect some of his work on various committees and church councils including the Canadian Council of Churches and the World Council of Churches, as well as aspects of his work as a lecturer at Knox College, Toronto, and the New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey. The fonds also consists of some of his writings, including sermons, addresses, articles and also draft copies of a book on China. Fonds consist of sermons, correspondence, manuscripts, financial records and audio recordings which document Fesenko's work as a minister and his heavy involvement in the Ukrainian community, both in Canada and overseas. The Evangelical Truth materials include published copies of The Evangelical Truth and correspondence regarding the publication. There are also some issues of the Kuban Cossack Journal, which Fesenko was involved in the publication of. Translation materials include copies of books translated by Fesenko from English into Ukrainian as well as correspondence relating to his translation activities. The sermons found in the fonds were delivered by Fesenko at Ukrainian Presbyterian Church where he served as minister for 40 years. Funding materials consists of correspondence between Fesenko and the Board of World Mission and Women's Missionary Society regarding funding for his many outreach activities. The committees material consists of correspondence from various committees that Fesenko was involved with. This section also contains correspondence during Fesenko's term as moderator of the West Toronto Presbytery. Biographical and educational papers include copies of class syllabi and essays from Fesenko's time at Princeton Theological Seminary as well as biographical information compiled by his family. Correspondence and writings is made up of letters and cards to Fesenko from his family and friends and some compositions written by Fesenko. Reference files contain newspaper clippings, articles and summaries of book resources relating to various subjects. Audio recordings are of Fesenko's sermons which were aired over the radio. The photographs are of a class at Princeton Theological Seminary and the 81st General Assembly of the PCC. Photographs and audio-visual records have been kept with the fonds.

Fonds consist of ministerial work, publications, reports, workshop materials, and personal papers which document Rev. Gowland's work as both a minister and secretary of the Board of Evangelism and Social Action. Board of Evangelism and Social Action materials contain reports, studies and workbooks issued by the Board relating to evangelism, social action, and the training of church elders. Rev. Gowland's lecture and conference notes for evangelism workshops are also included. Ministerial work includes sermon notes and outlines, resources for communicant's classes, sermon writing resources, and church histories and projects. The majority of sermons are from his time at Knox Church, Oshawa but there are also sermons that he delivered at his other charges. Personal papers consist of copies of Rev. Gowland's MA thesis and class notes from his time at Knox College and Claremont School of Theology as well as personal correspondence. Photographs consist of various General Assemblies, photographs of the resident students of Knox College in 1938 and 1939 and a photograph of the executive of the Board of Evangelism and Social Action in the 1960s. All textual records are grouped together. The photographs and sound recordings have been removed from the fonds and placed in the Graphics and Audio-Visual Records sections of the Archives.
