Community Days series

This series documents the Community Days. The series contains material covering ten different years. The Community Days were not held every year, but Assembly meetings were held every two years, and Chapter meetings were held every four years. The series contains various materials related to these meetings. Some of the most interesting materials include, for example, a Windsor workshop that taught Sisters to experience negotiation, meditation, and to practice active listening communication; the celebration of the 125th Anniversary (1993); a workshop on managing differences and conflict situations (2002); and other workshops and conferences.

The series contains schedules of congregational days, leadership style notes, spiritual exercises, prayers, workshop notes, “coming soon” reminders and “welcome” sheets, musical sheets for prayers and songs, short writings about the congregational history, correspondence related to the Community gatherings, reviews of new publications, ceremonies and celebrations, talks, corporate stances, photocopies of articles or short book chapters. It also contains printed brochures with prayers, theological reflections, other kinds of spiritual reflections, and conference materials.

Scrapbook of newspaper clippings concerning the 1935 federal elections in Canada. They document the campaign in Kitchener-Waterloo and the surrounding area, along with other parts of Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Included is coverage of various political parties such as the Conservatives, Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (C.C.F.) and Liberals. Clippings predominantly originate from the Kitchener Daily Record, with clippings from the Mail and Empire, the Toronto Star, and Daily Star appearing throughout.

Six Nations of the Grand River fonds

Fonds consists of a letter book kept by John Brant during his time serving as resident superintendent of the Six Nations of the Grand River. In it, he recorded outgoing correspondence as well as proceedings of general councils of the Six Nations. James Winnett recorded council proceedings in the letter book following Brant's death for the years 1833 and 1834. The letter book contains an index.
Also included are four loose letters that were found in the letter book dating to after the death of Brant. Letters touch on subjects such as the survey of drowned lands, navigation of the Grand River, Six Nations Chiefs waiting on the Governor General and the settlement of claims in Brantford.
