Collection contains a variety of maps, plans, and drawings pertaining to the Town and Township of Whitby. Maps have been physically arranged according to map type, including Street and Tourism, Physical, Political, Transit, Historical, and Architectural Drawings.
Fonds consists of three series: administrative records, publications, and correspondence. Correspondence contains the incoming and outgoing letters of Alan Dewar, secretary of the Camp X Military Museums Board of Directors. Letters discuss the purpose of the organization, fundraising, and future plans. The majority of letters focus on inviting important people to a dinner held in January 1978 to introduce the plans for the Museum to potential donors and members of the government. Administrative records consist of meeting agendas, minutes, by-laws, and letters of incorporation. Publications includes two published newsletters of the Camp X Military Museums Society.

Garnet McPhersonCollection consists of memorabilia and material pertaining primarily to the activities of the Whitby Dunlops during the team's active years from 1957 to 1959. There is also material which relates to anniversaries and other events in the years following the team's dissolution in 1960. Whitby Senior Hockey ClubThe fonds consists of photographs, correspondence, and records pertaining to and maintained by the Smith, and later Pascoe, families. Photographs depict the Smith family during their construction of and residence at Bayside farm. Later photographs depict the town of Whitby, notable landmarks, and prominent events throughout the life of Mildred Pascoe (1927-1985), a great-granddaughter of the Smith patriarch who maintained and organized the Smith family’s records. Correspondence consists of letters between family members. Records represent the Smith family’s business affairs, religious affiliations, educational achievements, and other personal belongings. Mildred PascoeSeries consists of business receipts between the Bayside Farm and various suppliers and machinery salespeople, as well as personal expenses such as doctors, lawyers, as well as newspapers and electricity companies.
Series consists of a variety of documents and records belonging to the Smith and Pascoe families. Records range from the Smith children’s school and church achievement certificates, to the family’s personal collection of books, as well as Mildred Pascoe’s newsletters and records from her time with the Whitby Historical Society. Series also includes information about Sir William Stephenson Public School’s Mildred Pascoe graduation award.
Series consists of letters between family members and various correspondents. Letters detail discussions of interpersonal matters between family members from across Ontario, while others contain communications regarding various business interests for their farm. A set of letters within the series detail the transfer of Bayside land from the Smith family to the Ontario provincial government for the purposes of the construction of the Ontario Hospital, Whitby, and depicts Lydia Smith, advocating for additional compensation for the land after the passing of her father and cessation of operations at the farm.

The majority of the letters were written while he held the position of Manager at Plantation Nos. 17 & 18 in Berbice, British Guiana and the remainder represent the period following when he settled at Whitby.
Alexander McPhersonThe fonds consists mostly of letters written by Fanny Gross to her youngest daughter, Edith. There are also letters written by friends and family to Edith and some letters written by Edith. The letters show that Edith travelled frequently from the Gross family home at 200 Colborne Street West in Whitby to visit relatives and friends in other communities. Subjects of discussion include parties, family, travel, and daily life. Fonds also consists of a copy of The Greatest Thing in The World, An Address by Henry Drummond.

The collection consists of a variety of material relating to the professional and private lives of May Irwin and her sister Flora. As one of North America’s foremost “coon shouters,” May Irwin engaged in and benefited from the deeply racist traditions of minstrel music and blackface performance in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Irwin’s musical records constitute hate speech.

Campbell, Georgina May, 1862-1938Fonds consists of six scrapbooks pertaining to the 1957-58 season for the Whitby Dunlops hockey team. Scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and some handwritten observations by Ken. Scrapbook five follows the team's 1958 trip to Oslo, Norway to compete in the World Ice Hockey Championship which they go on to would win. Each scrapbook contains a table of contents at the beginning.
